Dallas Expresses Concern for Pedestrians with Walkway Cover

Dallas Sidewalk Cover Victory Park

Dallas is one of the hottest construction markets in the country, especially when it comes to new apartment buildings. At the same time, sidewalk covers at construction sites are somewhat rare.

Perhaps things are changing.

This one is outside a new building in Victory Park. It’s certainly welcome, here only one side of the building is protected. Turn the corner and you are forced into a bike lane, which I guess they assume no one will use anyway. Meanwhile, bicyclists entering the lane from the south are soon confronted with red plastic strips blocking the exit.

Ugh.
