Dallas Uptown Ciclovia Could Be Weekly

Dallas Uptown Ciclovia

Despite hearing rain all night and dreaming the nearby Turtle Creek had risen to engulf the neighborhood, it was dry enough by 10 a.m. to head out to the second annual Dallas Ciclovia. At this early hour few had made it out to the event, which closes Cedar Springs Road from the Katy Trail to Klyde Warren Park, to cars. (I was just wondering whether it would be better to say opens the road to people without cars!).

I made it to Klyde Warren Park for the announcements, which included the idea brought up byDallas County Judge Clay Jenkins for closing the route weekly, at least on Friday evenings and possibly into Saturday. A weekly Ciclovia would be awesome.

I may head back out later today.

Here’s the bike cam trip!
